Portrait of the Artist
Trish’s story as an artist began with craft. In college she pursued a degree in Interior Design that required not just technical training but extensive education in art appreciation.
Those classes awoke in her a deep love of the arts and a fascination with the lives of practicing artists. Trish went on to study Art History on the graduate level at the University of Oklahoma and began a pursuit of her own artistic vision.
These days she’s practicing papercraft and mastering textile design as often as she’s preparing custom-ordered pieces or painting picturesque panoramas. No matter what she’s working on, though, she’s always studying.
Trish is a full-time mom and a part-time sales rep for a lighting company, but she finds time to design and execute beautiful decorative pieces customized to fit her subject’s style and make it shine.
She’s also got a passion for teaching — as you can see clearly at her preschooling site for moms, Your Homeroom — and she looks forward to teaching principles and styles to the artists of the Consortium, and to learning everything she can of their diverse disciplines.
